Spread Them Seeds

This object lesson focuses on the parable of the seeds (Mk 4:13-20 is one reference).  What I chose to talk about is that it is not our job to decide who has fertile soil and  doesn't.  It is our mission to tell everyone about Jesus

For this lesson you will need 11" balloons, a sharpie marker and a 3' section of pvc pole, which you can get at the home improvement store.

The Weight of Sin

One of the effects of sin is to weigh you down spiritually and keep you from enjoying the full benefits of a relationship with God the Father.

For this lesson you will need some 11" balloons, balloon ribbon, balloon weights and helium.  If you purchase the party ball you get everything you need except the weights, which can be homemade.  You will also need a spray bottle filled with water.

Many people consider themselves to be happy, but do they possess the inner happiness that comes with a relationship with Jesus Christ?

For this lesson you will need a balloon pump, some 11" round white balloons, plus a black sharpie marker

The Sword & the Cross

Hello!  This is my first post on my new blog (I'm very excited!!).  This will be a video blog, as it makes more sense to show how to do something rather than type it all out and hope you understand.  As the Blog description mentions, I will posting different ideas for Bible object lessons that will use magic tricks, science experiments, balloons and almost anything of a creative nature.

The sword and the cross can be used with many talking points.  The one I used for this video followed the ides of fighting your battles on your own, or allowing Christ to fight on your behalf.  Tailor the message to fit the age of your audience.  I have used this illustration with the ending message of, "Instead of me trusting in myself to win the battle, I'd rather trust in the one who has already won the war."
